With the United States economy booming and wages increasing for almost all workers, it is easy to forget about global poverty. This is a mistake. The issue of global poverty is one that all Christians have to take serious. Jesus Christ called us higher on this issue in Matthew 25, and we know that this is the Father’s hearts based on Isaiah 58. Join with us and other wonderful Christian efforts like “Love Lights the Way” (Visit https://lovelightstheway.org/our-story/) coninue to help those that struggle with extreme poverty.
A few current facts:
Some 795 million people in the world do not have enough food to lead a healthy active life. That’s about one in nine people on earth.
The vast majority of the world’s hungry people live in developing countries, where 12.9 percent of the population is undernourished.
Many blame God for this, but the Earth has enough food supply to feed each person a double portion every day. The problem is with us. Let us not be a part of the problem, but to be driven in love to provide relief, the love of Christ and genuine friendship.
